I’m getting seriously excited for this tour in just under two weeks time with Alan Benzie – Pianist and Composer and Marton Juhasz Music!!!! Come to one of the dates to check out the music and say hello.
Hello again and I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. I just spent a very relaxing few days in Perthshire with my family and spending some precious uncle time with my two nieces Rose and Grace. I’m back in Edinburgh tonight playing at the The Jazz Bar 8:45pm-11:30pm with local heroes Colin Steele Martin Kershaw Pete Johnstone and John Lowrie.
In other news my super talented cousin Hiatus has written some fantastic music for his latest album and i’m very fortunate to have my playing featured on it. Here’s a beautiful video he made to accompany the music of his piece called “Father”. Check it out below and here’s a link to his Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/hiatusmusic/
After a couple of week on the road in late April and early May, Alan Benzie’s debut album Travellers Tales was released to critical acclaim. We had a really successful tour including a successful trips to Poland and a live broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland’s program The Jazzhouse. The album was a featured on the program’s review of the year not only as one of the album’s of the year but as a live studio performance as well.
Below are some links to reviews of the album i’ve managed to put together, take a look and see what the press say and if you’d like to buy the album check Alan’s website here: http://www.alanbenzie.com/travellers-tales/

Here is an interview I did a few months ago with an old friend and now journalist David Graves. Aside from talking about my beginnings into music I think he writes really well! Here is a link to the interview as well as David’s website and blog where you can check out the other articles that he has written as well.
